Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy XIII adalah game pertama dari sejarah FF yang memasuki era konsol PS3. FF XIII pertama kali dirilis tahun 2009 di Jepang dan tahun 2010 untuk wilayah Internasional. FF XIII memiliki tiga lagu tema vokal yaitu "Eternal Love", "Kimi Ga Iru Kara" ("Because You're Here"), dan "My Hands".

Kedua lagu terdapat di dalam Final Fantasy XIII Original Soundtrack (FF XIII OST) tapi sayangnya untuk "Eternal Love" hanya ditampilkan versi pendeknya saja dan untuk "Kimi Ga Iru Kara" menampilkan versi yang agak sedikit panjang di bagian Intro. Versi full dan asli "Eternal Love" dan "Kimi Ga Iru Kara" bisa ditemukan dalam album single Sayuri Sugawara berjudul Kimi Ga Iru Kara.

Final Fantasy XIV
FFXIV adalah game kedua dari seri FF yang bertipe MMORPG setelah FFXI. FF XIV pertama kali dirilis pada tahun 2010 tetapi kemudian dirilis ulang dengan perombakan dan perbaikan disana-sini di bawah judul baru yaitu Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn pada tahun 2013. Hal ini terjadi sebab FF XIV yang diluncurkan pada tahun 2010 mendapatkan respon buruk dari berbagai media dan kritikus game.

"Answers" memiliki dua versi, versi pertama untuk dilantunkan di dalam game dan versi ini ada di dalam album Before Meteor: Final Fantasy XIV Original Soundtrack (BM: FF XIV OST) nomor urutnya adalah 104. Versi kedua berupa orkestra yang sering dimainkan saat konser tur Distant Worlds.

Update: Expansion (Epidose Tambahan) pertama dari FF XIV: ARR telah diumumkan yaitu Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward. Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward memiliki Theme Song dan Main Theme berbeda dari FF XIV: ARR yaitu berjudul "Dragonsong". "Dragonsong" masih diciptakan oleh Nobuo Uematsu dan Susan Calloway kembali untuk mengisi vokal "Dragonsong". Lirik lagu diciptakan oleh Michael-Christopher Koji Fox dan Kazutoyo Maehiro. Lagu tema berbentuk vokal ini telah diperdengarkan versi singkatnya kepada publik sebagai BGM trailer "Reclaim Your Throne" & "Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV" saat event khusus Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV 30 Maret 2016 di Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat.
Sehari setelah tanggal rilis album itu, penulis akan membagikannya disini untuk mendengar bersama-sama "Stand by Me" versi panjang yang dibawakan oleh grup band rock Florence + the Machine (nama formal: Florence and the Machine) asal Inggris. "Stand by Me" bukanlah lagu asli Florence + the Machine, kawan-kawan. Mereka hanya mengkover, lagu ini adalah lagu lama dari tahun 1961 yang dibawa terkenal ke seluruh dunia oleh penyanyi legenda R&B dan soul, almarhum Ben E. King. Wah, zaman penulis belum lahir atau beberapa dari kalian juga? Coba saja tanyakan penyanyinya dan lagu pernah hits hingga ditetapkan legenda sepanjang masa ini pada kakek, nenek, paman, bibi, atau orang tua yang pernah hidup di tahun 1960-an atau awal 1970-an. Apa mereka tahu?

Tercatat, penyanyi seperti John Lennon, Mickey Gilley, Maurice White, dan Prince Royce pernah mengkover "Stand by Me" dan dimasukkan ke dalam album mereka seperti Rock 'n' Roll, Urban Cowboy, dan Prince Royce. Nah kalau nama-nama seperti Lennon, Gilley, dan White untuk yang lahir tahun pertengahan 1970-an dan 1980-an pasti kenal dan pernah dengar (walau sedikit lupa-lupa ingat) "Stand by Me" dibawakan oleh mereka dong?
"Stand by Me" menjadi satu dari dua lagu tema vokal yang tidak ditulis atau diciptakan secara khusus untuk FF, satu lagu lagi adalah Leona Lewis "My Hands". Akan tetapi, "Stand by Me" dapat aransemen khusus supaya pas dengan mood karakter dan musik FF XV, buktinya adalah memasukkan alunan "Prelude" yang bisa terdengar di dalam lagunya. Sebaliknya Lewis sudah terlebih dahulu merekam "My Hands" untuk album keduanya yaitu Echo tertanggal September 2009, barulah di bulan November 2009 (satu bulan sebelum FF XIII Jepang rilis) SE menemui Lewis untuk meminta izin menggunakan "My Hands" sebagai Theme Song FF XIII Internasional.
Seperti dilansir dari situs Nova Crystallis, "Stand by Me" merupakan ekspresi terima kasih Noctis di dalam hati yang sulit diungkapkan ke dalam kata-kata langsung kepada ketiga sahabatnya (Ignis, Gladiolus, serta Prompto) dan terutama sang Ayah, Raja Regis.
