Prolog
Ola! Kali ini penulis kembali dengan membahas musik dari seri Kingdom Hearts (KH). Bagi yang tidak tahu apa itu Kingdom Hearts merupakan game cross-over antara karakter original Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, dan baru-baru ini ditambahkan dari karakter game The World Ends with You yang dikeluarkan oleh Square-Enix dengan karakter dari dunia Disney seperti Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, dan Goofy. Game Kingdom Hearts ini merupakan tipe game yang menggabungkan action dan RPG sehingga menjadi action role-playing games. Kingdom Hearts disutradarai oleh Tetsuya Nomura (dikenal juga sebagai character designer Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, FF VIII, FF X/X-2, dan kumpulan FF yang termasuk dalam Fabula Nova Crystallis), bagi Nomura game ini adalah pengalaman pertamanya menjadi Sutradara sebuah game. Kingdom Hearts pertama kali rilis pada 28 Maret 2002.

Cerita Kingdom Hearts kini semakin kompleks yang diceritakan dalam berbagai judul sebut saja sequel Kingdom Hearts yaitu KH II, spin-offs seperti KH: 358/2 Days, KH: Coded/KH re: Coded, KH: Chain of Memories/KH re: Chain of Memories, KH: 3D (Dream Drop Distance), dan prequel KH yaitu KH: BBS (Birth by Sleep).

Hikari/Simple and Clean
"Hikari" adalah judul lagu tema versi Jepang sedangkan untuk versi Internasionalnya diberi nama "Simple and Clean". Lagu ini dijadikan lagu tema untuk KH, KH: Chain of Memories/KH re: Chain of Memories, dan KH: BBS. "Hikari" terdapat di dalam album Utada Hikaru yaitu Deep River. Hikari dapat diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia yaitu cahaya/sinar, sebuah kekuatan universal dan penting di dunia seri KH.
Lagu ini memiliki versi remix yang diberi nama "HIKARI PLANiTb remix"/"SIMPLE and CLEAN PLANitb remix" yang lebih bertempo cepat, lebih pendek, dan mempunyai kesan dansa di disko dibandingkan versi asli di dalam album Utada Hikaru. Versi remix ini digunakan sebagai latar belakang musik (BGM) opening movie KH, KH: Final Mix, KH: BBS, dan KH re: Coded.

"Hikari -KINGDOM Orchestra-" diciptakan oleh Yoko Shimomura dan diaransemen ke dalam gubahan orkestra oleh mitra kerja setianya yakni Kaoru Wada. "Hikari -KINGDOM Orchestra-" dibawakan oleh New Japan Philharmonic. Jika kalian ingin mendengarkan "HIKARI -KINGDOM Orchestra-" di game-nya, diamkan saja layar Title Screen selama kurang lebih 5 sampai 10 menit. Title Screen akan berubah menampilkan Opening Menu Cinematic dan diiringi dengan lagu ini:
Passion/Sanctuary
"Passion" adalah judul versi Jepang dari "Sanctuary" yang merupakan judul versi Internasional-nya. Lagu ini adalah lagu tema untuk KH II, KH: 358/2 Days, dan KH: 3D. Kedua versi tersebut menyematkan lirik berbahasa Inggris yang di reverse. Lirik yang di reverse adalah "I need more affection than you know" dan di bagian "Battleground": "So many ups and downs" beserta "I need true emotions". Cuplikan lirik "My heart's a battleground" dinyanyikan ke dalam bahasa Inggris untuk kedua versi bahasa. Kedua lagu ini dimainkan saat opening movie KH II, KH: 358/2 Days, dan KH: 3D. Sedangkan di akhir permainan tiap game tersebut memainkan "Passion" dan "Sanctuary" yang diberi judul "Passion ~After the Battle~" serta "Sanctuary ~After the Battle~" dengan aransemen berbeda dari yang dimainkan saat opening movie.

Shimomura dan Wada mempersembahkan gubahan orkestra "Passion"/"Sanctuary" untuk KH II yang dimainkan oleh Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. Sama seperti KH I, apabila kalian ingin mendengarkan "PASSION -KINGDOM Orchestra-", diamkan layar Title Screen selama 5 menit atau 10 menit. Apabila dilakukan begitu, layar akan berubah dan barulah menampilkan Opening Menu Cinematic KH II dengan diiringi lagu ini:

Maaf ada beberapa lagu yang tidak bisa disampaikan di dalam artikel ini seperti "Hikari"/"Simple and Clean" PLANiTb remix (untuk yang penasaran bisa melihat opening movie KH dan KH: BBS yang memutar versi pendeknya).
